[The first time he changes, it sends him into a full-blown but very quiet panic attack.]
[Admittedly, he was already halfway there. Not having Gold Experience by his side and at his fingertips is terrifying, and while he's refusing to show it outwardly, he's felt jittery and unsafe since he arrived here. So when, in the midst of a tentative exploration at the edge of the forest, he suddenly shrank down to a little brown salamander, it's safe to say his mood got worse.]
[Briefly, anyway. It's kind of cool? Not as useful as Gold Experience and potentially quite dangerous if he's not careful, but definitely interesting. It's something to occupy his time, for sure, experimenting with different shapes to find the ones that are the most effective and least distracting.]
[It was only a matter of time before he tried the shape of a cat, one of nature's stupidest dignified-looking animals. The shape is not quite what he was hoping for, but it seems to be the cat shape that sticks best, so he's going with it for now. He puts the shape through its paces, walking along the edge of the forest and smelling things in a leisurely way. There is . . . a lot to smell. Snf.]
[Ever since discovering a couple of his most wayward children here in this temple with him, Aizawa has generally tried to avoid straying too far, if only for the sake of his own blood pressure. But he's not exactly the hovering type either, so Aizawa's definitely been doing his own explorations, too.
During one of these explorations, he happens to be walking in a path that leads him in Giornya's general direction; Aizawa doesn't exactly smile, or anything, because honestly his face is probably too tired for that 95% of the time, but his features do seem to soften, a little, and instead of continuing to keep walking, he crouches down onto his knees and extends a finger out at arm's length for the cat to possibly sniff him if he wants.]
[Oh. It's the man he was in the pumpkin with. He can't imagine that person having anything to do with a stray cat, so surely it won't be a big--oh god he's stopped. Oh god what's happening. Oh god he's crouching, oh god.]
[Giorno does not have much of a tail to puff up, but he makes an effort. Not on purpose, mind you; the instincts of this body have a mind of their own, to a certain extent. If he's going to be anxious about the sudden proximity of a huge strange man, his tail is going to try to puff up, by god.]
[But Aizawa doesn't seem to be trying to approach. Which . . . helps. He's still enormous compared to cat-sized Giorno, but it feels safe to take one microstep forward and sniff the air in the general direction of Aizawa's finger.]
[Not the finger itself though, yet. It could be an enemy Stand.]
[Little-known secret (by people who aren't Mic, anyway) about Aizawa: he fucking loves cats. Free time that doesn't go toward sleeping? Usually goes toward cat cafes.
When Giorno doesn't quite go for his finger, Aizawa withdraws his hand after a moment, before digging into his pockets for some pretzels he's pretty sure he grabbed earlier and forgot about until just this moment. What's eating healthy. Anyway, he finds a couple that aren't totally smashed at least, and leaves them on the ground for the cat before backing away and settling down at a nearby tree with his watch, scrolling idly.]
[It's an odd thing to watch, this sequence of events that ends with Aizawa putting pretzels on the ground. At first, Giorno genuinely doesn't understand what's happening, not because he's never fed a stray cat before--he has, with fair frequency--but because it looks so different from the other side. He's got no idea what Aizawa's got in his pocket until he drops them to the ground; only then does he get it.]
[Snacks.]
[He can't help but perk up a little, ears tipping forward with interest. Pretzels aren't even that good, but . . . snacks . . .]
[Padding forward a few hesitant steps, he sits. Casually washes his front paw. And then snaps up the pretzel very quickly and runs a few feet away to gobble it down. Homf.]
[He watches in faint amusement as the cat runs away to eat the treat, before turning his attention back to the watch. Safe and nonthreatening, see. He looks like he might even be able to take a nap right out here, even. Maybe he's secretly part cat, you never know.
He's still watching the cat out of the corner of his eye, of course, because you don't often see cats in forests and he'd maybe like to draw it closer to the temple where it tends to be less likely to contain things that might want to eat a cat, but that requires building its trust. For now, he'll settle for it not running away from him.]
pre event, waves hands vaguely

Fish, maybe. Might be the easiest to come by.
